This was delivered quickly and well packaged. We built this into an internal steel door between the house and garage. Cutting through the steel with a jigsaw was the hardest part of the job, as it had to be cut individually on both sides of the door (the door was too thick to cut through the entire door in one go). I think it could be a 20 minute job but due to our problems it took 2 hours. This is of course not due to the product. Once the hole was made it was easy enough to install the door on either side. We have an old fat cat and she goes through that door with no problem. We got this door as it looked like the most advanced weather protection and so far it's working well. I find the instructions that came with the door really bad. With so many variables for doors or walls and their thickness, they needed to provide more than just pictorial instructions. There were arrows everywhere, suggesting attempts to create some sort of flowchart for these variables, but sometimes they were wrong or questionable and we ended up setting it up using common sense rather than following directions. It's fine if you have the know-how of all the trades, but I don't want my mom having to install this herself. Since you need to cut a hole in a wall or door, and also possibly cut the product itself depending on the width you need, there is just too much left to interpret the diagrams and arrows.
