Description of πŸ’‘ Comidox 1Pcs 20/24 Pin LCD PC Power Supply Tester for ATX BTX ITX TFX SATA with Buzzer Auto Alarm

The LCD power tester is a powerful power test device. This power tester only needs to be connected to the ATX connector of the power supply to easily and intuitively know whether the output of each power supply is normal. It can detect ATX, BTX, ITX, TFX computer power supply, and can display various voltage and PG values in liquid crystal to quickly detect the performance of computer power supply. The LCD displays various parameters such as output voltage and PG. When each parameter exceeds the normal value, the buzzer will sound a warning and the corresponding value will flash. It can measure the voltage of each group of power supply 3.3V/+5V/+12V/-12V/SB+5V/PG, and also measure the output wire P4/P6/P8/SATA/IDE, external DIE/SATA/P6/P8 is the light Displayed, there is no LCD voltage. Only the 24pin or 20pin will have the LCD voltage. It has LCD intuitive and accurate display voltage (+/-0.01V), automatic fault alarm, complete test interface, small and beautiful appearance, and many test functions. It is the best choice for quickly detecting PC power. Support 20Pin, 24Pin ATX interface / SATA interface / 4Pin, 8Pin interface / PCI-E graphics card 6Pin interface / floppy drive interface / ATE hard disk interface.

Nice tester with a quirk

Great PSU tester, the only reason I gave it 4 stars is because it won't work unless you connect the main 20/24 pin connector along with the P4 connector connect. It doesn't matter, but the P4 connector is on the other side of the tester, so on some of the servers I deal with I have to cut a lot of zip ties or partially unplug the PSU to test the PSU. With all my old testers I could only test the 20/24 pin and the P4 pin separately.

Pros
  • Always liked
Cons
  • boring packaging

do not connect certain GPU power cables/safely smoke

All PSUs read PG 100ms (which doesn't mean you have a bad PSU), the PG reading is not accurate at all. Other items may be accurate, but without full dyno testing it's hard to say. Just be careful with cables connecting to the GPU as they produce a lot of watts up front. I would probably skip this test just to be on the safe side. Especially the additional 4-pin connector. Don't go there at all. Go somewhere else! All test units will smoke and burn with a high-quality power supply with dual GPU…

Pros
  • This is done
Cons
  • Quality

Works great for computer components

The system showed a low voltage level on the 12 volt bus. So I wanted to see if it was the board or the PS, it turned out the LL alarm went off immediately and 11 volts on the 12 volt bus indicated bus! So narrow it down right in seconds!

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Was damaged

Changed my score in the Computers & Accessories category

No instructions are included with the tester. I found 3rd party instructions online and got it working properly. The P4 line from the power supply must be connected to get a good reading on the display. BUT I still don't light up 3 leds when I use the tester. As far as I know it doesn't work 100%.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Style 90

as advertised, delivery on time

I work on computers and often use a power supply tester (easier than a multimeter). My old tester went missing so I ordered it as a replacement. I prefer the LCD output to see actual readings.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Hard to remember but it was

The photo shows a (typical) universal PSU tester in a brushed aluminum case, which is what I expected. Instead, they sent one of those crappy cheap plastic blocks that often don't work. This example also looks like it has been used before as the display has been scratched. To make matters worse, the two Molex sockets were installed crookedly or bent downwards. I didn't even dare to connect it.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Some problems

Chinese product without documentation. Since it's a copy of about a dozen other similar products, I was able to see how it should work from competitor YouTube videos. This confirmed what was wrong with one of my ATX power supplies and saved me from a service call regarding it.

Pros
  • Durable surface
Cons
  • Security
