I bought this card thinking the heatsink would be a nice touch to increase lifespan/performance. Popped this card into my new build and noticed that my download speeds and bandwidth were terrible. I was about to buy a $100 "gaming" router. Luckily I tested another card I bought ($20 Ubit AC 1200Mbps) and my connection/download jumped to 250Mbps compared to the 30Mbps I got with this card. higher speeds. Pros: Small heatsink Cons: Everything else.

No 5G but still much faster than the built-in WiFi,

I used the built-in WiFi on my computer but it's not strong and the computer is on in the office. I installed this using the recommended Intel drivers. It's now 3x faster on download speed tests and 20% faster on uploads. However, I cannot view the 5G network (my phone sees it). Only works on 2.4G. My phone and wifi card that I tried earlier this week see 5G. I've tried uninstalling, deleting and reinstalling all Windows temp files and other files to no avail. I'll leave it because it's still…

worked well for internals

We got this as a short term fix for an old Dell computer when school went virtual due to Covid-19. It worked fine. We could stream live lessons and use the BT keyboard. Between school and games/movies we used it 40+ hours a week for probably 6 months with no problems. We had to unplug the SSD card reader on our PC to get power for the BT function, but we knew this before purchasing and depending on your computer, this may not be an issue for you. All in all it was a solid purchase and I would…

So I installed this card and it started and automatically connected to my 2.4Ghz WiFi. After a few minutes it automatically installed the driver and switched to my 5GHz mode automatically. I'm taking on some P2P, gaming and streaming and will report any stability issues. I like that the Hit has a heatsink. I installed it across from my GTX 1600 graphics card and the fans from it create airflow for my wifi card. The antennas make a well-made impression and can be easily positioned. I'm about 20…

2 motherboards killed

I don't know what shitty wires they put in circuit boards these days but I installed this guy and he totally wrecked my motherboard. I've been building PCs for 40 years. Was properly grounded. Stood on a completely discharged car. Installation was pretty easy. But when loading it hung on the BIOS - even the BIOS did not start. I erased the map and tried to reboot - no bones. I had a cheap spare motherboard laying around and decided to test it to see if the motherboard spontaneously died (it…

Not bad at first, but lost popularity in the last month

This item wasn't great when I first bought it, but since I got it in February 2019 while building a new computer, I've had other thoughts building but I had a chance to test it when it was new. His download speed on the 2.4GHz setter peaked at 40MB and never surpassed it, and 5GHz dropped to 30MB while my laptop was on the same network, hitting 110MB on 2.4GHz and at 5 GHz 90 megabytes. It wasn't scary enough, but it wasn't good either, but I put up with it because I needed a Wi-Fi card that…

Excellent purchase! Reaching 90% of my full download potential

I bought this to replace my USB wireless adapter. Use it 2 floors below my router. The previous key gave me a "full" signal but only tested 1/4 of my internet plan's throughput, while PCIE often oscillates between 3-4 divisions, but even with that I get at least 90% of the promised throughput plan internet capabilities. I'm not sure how it compares to other non-heatsink models, and if you really need it it might save you money otherwise, but for me I thought it was a decent value since other…

Good solution for computers and accessories

I bought a cheap refurbished PC (desktop tower configuration) that came with a wireless adapter USB port that didn't work very well (there were problems with maintaining the connection). What can you expect from a $250 computer? This solved my problem. Installing it in the smallest slot on the back of the motherboard was very easy. Booted up without any problems and recognized by the computer (Windows 10). Picks up a Wi-Fi signal easily and works very well.
