Pleasantly surprised

I bought GE despite the higher price for several reasons among others. I needed a flat fork for a specific area. I also liked the 12 sockets and the flexible cable for 2 USB outputs. I hesitated as some reviews said the device had a high pitched sound while others said it was quiet. Luckily very quiet. I also like the blue light that shows the surge suppression is working. A key selling point was the high surge suppression in joules. I hope I never have to find out how accurate this review is.

PERFECT product! fits PDU

Repainted my media shelves and I needed something more professional to handle my wall mounted TV configuration. I didn't actually buy it for the USB part, but it turned out to be very handy because it finally gave us a place to charge our PS4 controllers since our charging port died for them. I like that it's backlit so it's easy to find if I have to go back behind the shelves. I was hoping it could be screwed to the wall for a flat mount, but I was able to put it on the floor and it worked…

Best in Power Strips

So-so. I found out that my parents used a dusty '90s power strip for much of their tech. Everything had to change, so I bought three of these. They are very generous with 10 outlets and a small USB plug on the leash. I have a lot more confidence that their electronics are a little better protected. My mother is very fond of USB ports and uses them. In fact, she's never used her phone while it's connected to the network? The reason I took off a star is because the stripes make a very high…

Didn't you know that LED lighting is trending?

Firstly I didn't use the USB ports. I don't know about them, I know I have to use them as I have too many USB chargers, but oh well. It seems heavy, like a good heavy. I love the way it distributes the ports, it allows me to connect so many different types of power supplies as not everyone can figure out what the connector should look like. I light one side when it's powered and the other side when it's grounded. And that's great because it let me know that my homeports weren't working. I use…

Read it. in power strips and surge protectors

I bought this and have been using it for about six months. I haven't had any problems or issues with it. I read a lot of reviews that it makes a loud noise, breaks quickly, that it is generally garbage. Nothing like this happened to me, it worked fine from day one and worked 24/7 for 6 months. One negative reviewer said it broke quickly, but he also said he turned it off when not in use and turned it on when he needed it and that he did it daily. Guys, that's a bad idea. It's no good turning…

Power strips in splitters and surge protectors

I went from 1 small tank to 3 in 2 months and didn't have a single power strip big enough to meet my 7 plug needs. save again! Maybe I could find something locally but for a family with 1 car it was easier to buy online. I chose this because I needed a reasonable length of cable, a short 3ft cable just wouldn't be enough. The black color matched and complimented my decor and had exactly the number of end caps I was looking for. Even better, the ports were correctly aligned with what I needed to

Misplaced USB charging ports on new model - bad design change

I explain my one star rating. I have 2 old version GE surge protectors with USB ports on the front of the surge protector and 2 newer versions with separate USB ports on their own docking stations. This rating refers to the new model. There is no hardware to install a USB docking station and there is no easy way to install one. While I like that the USB ports can be placed closer to the desktop user, I prefer the older version. Hardware is required to install the USB dock, otherwise it's just…

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • Something different

Short story: solid construction, attractive looks, no complaints about AC or USB performance, retractable lids with child protection and dust is a stupid cheap price for something with looks, features and performance. If you are looking at this product because it suits your needs, just click the buy button and get back to your life. was a die-hard fan of the TrippLite Isobar Ultra line (full metal adult model), lots of APCs per day (but at least four main units in a brick sitting in a storage…
