    Misleading on cable fuses

Good closure. However, the image used for the ad does not exactly match the type that I received. It advertises an older version of this model but I have a newer one. Just as good, it just doesn't fit my old laptop. So, a good product but be careful what you buy and if the new versions of this lock will fit your device.

Great value for money, the best computer accessories and peripherals

Does a pretty good job. While this isn't a complete protection against all thefts, it does prevent the usual grab and go, which is why I bought it. The quality is very good considering the price is under $20. Perfect fit for my Acer 5. Note that not all laptops use the Kensington slot. There is a tool on the Kensington website that will point you to the correct lock you need. I tried to provide a URL but Revain won't allow it and rejected my first review.

Good minimal security lock for use in public areas

I have a small notebook that I use when I go to the local library. It's a well designed lock that prevents someone from secretly taking my laptop and leaving with it without being seen. I do not recommend leaving a locked device alone or out of sight of others for long periods of time. The cable looks like it could easily be cut with scissors. And others report that some Kensington T-locks can be pulled out of their slots with sufficient force. The price of this lock listed by Kensington on…

Great brand and worth my money to protect my Intel NUC PC at work.

This is Kensington. You can not say more. Of course you can find a cheaper cable that works the same way somewhere else, but this is a really good brand. They're so dominant that manufacturers who carve this little notch on the side of their devices refer to it as the Kensington notch. (Okay, it could be the license.) This cable is very long. I use mine on a desk that has a stand on the left and one on the right. I wrap the lock around a post and then loop through the loop a few times to make…

Fits great on my desktop laptop

I had a little trouble fitting the locking mechanism to my computer and had to twist the retaining piece a bit while figuring it out. I haven't unlocked or locked it yet as it just hangs on my desk in my office, so I'm not sure if this will be a recurring problem if it's used in other ways. The length is great and the cord twists around the lock so it can be used in any position. I find it easier to leave my laptop unattended!

Bought to secure a desktop PC to a dorm bed

Bought this Alienware desktop lock for a dorm room. It attaches perfectly to the PC and is long enough to attach to a large, heavy object. The lock looks nifty and will hopefully deter someone from stealing my computer.

Well made but a bit difficult to maneuver

Bought this for our son's laptop at his dorm. It's heavy and well made, but a bit difficult to block. You must insert the part correctly and turn the key before it locks into place. It takes a few minutes of patience to get the hang of it, but overall it seems like it works well and keeps his laptop secure.

    NOT SUITABLE for cable protection

I checked my laptop online, I tested it with this particular cable. Half the pages said it would fit, it didn't. Kensington really had success with these cables, it used to be pretty much guaranteed they would fit, now vendors are making bits and pieces of their sizes and confusing things, it's like NetFlix, DISney+, CBS BS; Everyone takes their own property and it only causes more trouble for everyone and costs more money :-( .

Good quality; Will not fit MacBook Pro Early 2011

I purchased this lock specifically to secure an early 2011 MacBook Pro which has a Kensington slot in the specs. The locking mechanism feels solid and the cable is quite stiff, suggesting it's more difficult to cut than most similar locks. Corners, hence only four stars. This is a square pin in a round hole situation. This lock fits every other Kensington slot I've tried, so it's probably Apple's fault. I will keep the lock for use with another device. I like the protruding tab on the key as it
