I give it four stars. I needed light for sewing. I don't have room for a large lamp and it gets hot in the room, especially with the iron on, so the LED was appealing because it doesn't emit heat. Little did I know it only comes with a USB port and **no way to plug it into a standard outlet**. I hold this guy against my desk when I'm doing my homework or reading. My bedroom fan is not very bright and this light reduces eye strain when working at a desk. The light has 3 brightness gain settings, however the brightest setting does not take full advantage of all LEDs. ability, that sucks. However, the battery life on this one is pretty amazing. I was looking for a small flexible light that would produce really bright LED light and not the dim, soft light that most of these lights give off. This light is bright even on a low setting. Works great. The battery contacts are slightly loose. You may have to twist the batteries a little to turn it on, but other than that it's great and really really bright, easily illuminating my entire desk from 5V USB! I needed a light that could do two things: 1) Allow me to read without turning on all the lights in the room and without waking me up. I bought this because my family likes watching movies in the dark. I like to do other things when I'm watching a movie like knitting or painting nails etc (ie things that, you know, require LIGHT?).
