Very easy to use wireless platform for electronics builders

The Quantum Starter Kit includes a server that acts as a hub to wirelessly control a pair of microcontrollers they call Builder Bases via a web interface. Their user interface is very easy to navigate and creating a firmware file or application is very easy. So far I have made Hello World, Joystick Controller and Mecanum Car projects which I have been able to follow along with their Youtube videos. I look forward to my new builder bases so I can build more complex projects!

First platform I bought to get started with my smart home

I'm relatively new to smart home and IoT technology and was looking for a platform that would allow me to work with start some projects. I've seen and compared other platforms like Samsung Smartthings, Wink or Insteon but found that much of the hardware is quite expensive. While Quantum doesn't currently integrate with many other smart home products, I'm sure it will. These will work in the future. I've found that using small and economical electronic components seems like a good approach to…

Great product for getting started with electronics

During the pandemic I bought several electronic learning kits and found the Quantum to be the easiest to use. It was easy to follow their videos and instructions, and after learning their system, I found it easier and faster to create more complex projects compared to other kits I've used before. Their built-in wireless capabilities were also a huge plus, saving me the hassle of setting up the ESP modules. I was able to skip that and go ahead and create some pretty cool electronics projects…

Very intuitive for beginners

I am new to developing applications with hardware capabilities and found Quantum to be the perfect solution with impressive results. Within hours I was able to build/program some nifty tools including an SMS trigger button. Customer service is great too!

Pros
  • Great choice
Cons
  • Annoyed

The Quantum Pack is a game changer. First, it includes a Q-Server, which is the hub on which you program and set up projects. Setting this up is very easy, just connecting to your network and entering the server's IP address into a web browser. It was very cool because it allowed me to get data from my smart devices like iPhone, iPad and computer and manage projects. Second, the kit includes two Q-Client Builder Bases, which are wireless clients that communicate with the Q-Server via Bluetooth.

Pros
  • The Best
Cons
  • Can do damage
