Price, quality and price

At this price you will not find a better vacuum pump for housework on the market. Period. This is the first online purchase of a vacuum pump as as contractors we have always bought them from one of our local distributors. But buying online not only saves us money, it shows us that these retailers sell tools for more than retail!

Received used when buying new

Received used model. There are some minor scratches and some oil. I can clearly see that he was exhausted at least once. It really annoys me because I paid for a new group. I bought this model as an improvement over the 1.5 CFM model as the 12.5 wasn't strong enough. Hopefully this one works better and the seller will give me some kind of compensation for sending me a used one.

Pros
  • Handy piece
Cons
  • Without machine gun

Three weeks after I started it smokes.

Three weeks after using it, smoke is now coming out of the unit's exhaust cap. There are times when the vacuum draw is below acceptable and I need to warm up my Kydex (I make holsters and other items) and try to recover it. When it works it pulls a decent vacuum, I don't have a sensor so I can't tell the exact drop in performance but it's noticeable. I've tried changing the oil without increasing performance. A normal unit for my work and what I could afford at the time.

That's all.

Supplied in a double box but with no spacers or filler between the boxes. Everything looked great until I opened the inner box. When I took the vacuum pump out of the box I noticed that the service valve cover was broken and spinning. I was like okay it's okay I can get another cap. I noticed that it also has a container of oil, which is cool too, but I bought the oil because Amazon listed it as often bought together. Ok again, I'll just have extra oil. Then I saw a huge dent pushing the shroud

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Long delivery times

Poor packaging Can't tell if it's bad packaging or a condition label, the pump I bought was in use, in very good condition good condition. The packaging looked like someone had kicked it in the truck all the way to my house. The item description was "very good", the oil reservoir was cracked under the sight glass, the bleed screw was missing, the rear fan cowl was so badly dented that it had to be removed entirely, and the oil dipstick was half-inserted and leaked immediately because I had…

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Some difficulties
