I have 3 TS431u v1's all working great but this TS431u v2 just stopped working after 18 months as all disks were installed hot to the touch and all the lights on the unit were off. After letting the HDD cool down for a few hours I popped them into v1 and thankfully they all work fine. I'm most likely SOL as the warranty has expired. Stay away from these two versions.

I use this with 2 Western Digital 2TB green hard drives and boy does the trick for imaging and backups. Pros - Works much better than my Drobo when I don't need as much redundancy and just doing a quick laptop or desktop backup. This is a very well designed enclosure. Very easy to set up. Within half an hour of receiving the package, I installed the drives, configured the RAID array, and copied the files to the array. I didn't specifically mention what struck me, the included software. I'm using Windows and haven't checked if there are versions for other platforms.
