It takes up 4U of space, so pay attention to that first. In addition, only monitors that fit between the rails of a standard 42U rack are mounted. So if you're wondering if your monitor will fit, simply see if the monitor will fit between the rack rails. If you have longer screws, you can mount it so that you can install it in the same place you have equipment that only fills the back of the rack, such as B. a UPS or a switch. It was pretty easy to put together and I just wanted the monitor to…

If you don't If If you have something off the rack you can take a bigger one and mount it in the bars and it can protrude forward to give you more screen I couldn't do that so I had to buy a 16" widescreen monitor that does the rack fits edges so I could use HDMI 2. When the monitor is installed in it you can see the back of this plate sticking out at the top and bottom (if you're using a widescreen) Looks pretty garish and ugly to me I can do both see

Well made but limited choice of monitors.

That's a great idea, but the choice of monitors will be limited. The mounting section is deeply recessed so your monitor should fit between stands of the same width. Not many modern widescreen monitors will fit. You must have standoffs to allow the display to be mounted further forward (off-rack). We've found that we're using an older standard aspect ratio monitor to do what we want with it. It's well made and I can't fault the hardware, but the design is limiting.

    upset. The carving is terrible.

Don't waste your time with it. It's garbage. The supplied screws do not fit the threaded holes that attach the side brackets to the mounting plate. Of the 4 screws, I was only able to successfully drive one into the pre-drilled holes. The other three get stuck after a few turns and I'm sure if I put some elbow grease on them they'd get the hell stripped off. If it wasn't for this huge issue I would give it a much higher rating because everything else fits perfectly in the 17" LCD rack.

I bought two more after the first one.

I have previously installed two monitors with this product and plan to install a third. They come with mounting screws and mounting nuts are attached to the sides of the plate, allowing the monitor to be easily installed onto the ledges. It's well done. Black painted steel I think. I had no problems installing it, and the first monitor I installed was a few months ago as of the date of this review. All screw holes matched my mounting frame perfectly, which is not the case with some vendors. All

Terrible fitment, the best in racks and cabinets

You will have trouble assembling this product. The screws holding the side brackets will twist and then break. I ended up having to go out and buy an M5x0.8 tap and run it through all the holes to clean the paint and fix the damaged threads. I was then able to install replacement screws, which I also had to purchase to complete the build. Please note that you will need to make a trip to the hardware store and spend time playing around with it before you can use it. If you plan to install it in…

    Wrong threads

As others have said the threads to assemble the actual bracket are either wrong or can't be screwed in because they are colored after threading. I was able to get one of the included screws just fine, which tells me it's probably not a problem with the actual threads. The mount I received didn't match the instructions exactly (I have slots, not holes) so this could be a new design change issue.

    Great monitor mount.

Rugged construction, lots of holes for rack mounting. The arm is 4U high and can be installed in a variety of rack positions, allowing the monitor to be flush mounted. Pros: Low profile / The mount itself doesn't take up much space. Durable material used. The side brackets are slotted and the monitors can be mounted at different depths. Cons: The instructions didn't make it clear which screws to use for installation. Little did I know that the bracket comes with additional mounting hardware for

Extremely Defective: Computer Accessories and Peripherals

This bracket could not be mounted. The thread for attaching the side brackets is too small to be attached with the screws provided. The first screw broke but I couldn't tighten it. Tried other holes and screws and found the fit was just as tight. So it's a systemic problem. This goes straight back to Revain. Update 12/17/19: A second mount arrived and had the same issue. To convince myself that PEBCAK wasn't the problem, I had a 30-minute conversation with StarTech's Brandon, who seemed unaware

Made in Canada? Good equipment. Self-explanatory

It goes without saying that ratings are purely subjective and are never universally accepted. I don't understand the criticism of "iron" - be it poor quality or confusion with placement. This is not a complex product. In order to understand this overview, he makes the "terminology" correct/understandable for others. This kit is as simple as it gets.
