worked great until it stopped

I like the big fan. it did a great job. I liked how it looks blue which makes it really obvious when the fan is on. It has an on/off switch, additional USB slots and is super quiet. Everything was great until it started working intermittently. I think the USB connection got loose so I had to position the cable correctly and try not to move it or it would turn off. over time it became more and more difficult to "find the right place”. it's too finicky and not even working now so i bought another

Great for the price/minor inconvenience

Pros: Metal mesh provides extra cooling. quite fat. The shackles also seem to slip out of the hinge when opening/closing, but are not broken. No pad grip at all. My laptop is 17 inch and it slides around this thing when I move my hand. Cannot lie flat due to the curved bottom design, must be in an inclined position. (which causes a problem with the mount) I know I should have had a larger shim, but I have a smaller shim that works great. The only reason I replaced it was because the fans were…

It works. Electronics

These results correspond to the CPU temperature program that I downloaded specifically for this review. I am using an Acer D270 laptop with the fan running. 35C on the first core. 38C on the second core. No working fan. 35C on the first core. 39C on the second core. However, the CPU utilization remained about the same. My keyboard was noticeably colder when I touched it, so my 10-inch netbook may not have been positioned correctly on it. Yes, it works to lower the temperature a bit. It's also…

First panic though.

I used a cheap cooler that I bought because it had removable USB ports but they never worked anyway. I still had trouble shutting down the laptop on high settings and I'm not a big gamer. I mainly play FaceBook games. But I always have 5-8 tabs open in Chrome, plus Outlook and IE email for FB game crashing in Chrome (Words with Friends). The shutdowns happened almost once a day and became very annoying, not to mention bad for the laptop. Bought this cooler because of the good reviews. When it…

Spyker laptop cooler is a hot buy!

I use my 15.5" laptop a lot on my bed and have tried a few things to raise the backrest to allow air to circulate with minimal success so I was on the low- Profile market, inexpensive but efficient USB powered cooler. The Spyker Notebook Cooler Stand makes it possible! There are other coolers, more complex and expensive, but I love the design of this model and you should love the price! Even when the fan is not plugged in, the curved shape of the bottom allows more air to circulate since almost

In theory it works BUT the case design is bad

I would say I play quite a lot of games on my laptop. In my experience so far I have burned two laptops due to overheating of the HD motherboard and laptop battery. To make sure this doesn't happen again, I decided to buy my first ice pack, but I really don't want to spend $25 at Best Buy to buy something I don't know if it works or not no, so I thought so, go through Amazon to look for decent deals. I probably looked at at least 15-20 different cooling pads and their reviews before deciding to
