Great Looks: Fenders & Fenders

teraflex fenders are the finest fenders on the market. Installation was really easy. I like the fact that I can uninstall and install very quickly. Perfect for passing redevelopment legislation here in Hawaii.

Pros
  • Finally bought
Cons
  • No Instructions

Just what I needed

They are perfect for anyone who needs them for security checks in Hawaii. They WILL FIT Jeep models with metal bumpers if you unscrew the plastic end caps (three screws) on the rear bumper in case anyone is wondering if they're worth buying.

Pros
  • Easy to install

It's not worth it. Get something different.

So they fell in love first. However, after a few days on the road, they started making a lot of noise (rattling). Over time, the plastic begins to bend under the influence of wind. Once they are bent there is no more tension on the valve itself and it starts making a lot of noise. Still working but noisy.

Pros
  • There's something to it
Cons
  • Updates

Modified for a standard 2012 JK 2 door.

Note I have Teraflex rear fenders installed on a 2012 Wrangler 2 door JK. Installation requires a hardware modification. A previous reviewer mentioned an issue when you have a wrap around the bumper, this seems to have caused installation issues to me. I drilled additional holes in the fasteners to allow the fenders to be mounted. Several trial and error installations were required to resolve the issue. The instructions that came with it didn't help.

Pros
  • Great for me

As long as everyone is smiling and looking good! Get

These fenders seem like a good aftermarket choice. What remains after replacing the rear bumper to which the rear fenders are attached? Flaps or no flaps and by law I needed flaps. So, after several weeks of searching, I decided on this set. Ease of installation. My only complaint is that they don't look like they're hanging straight, like they're hanging down a bit. I like the idea that they can be removed at any time. Will be updated if problems arise.

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • Expandable

Fenders are good for fenders and fenders

That's some damn good protection! If you have broad buds you will love them. My Jeep doesn't, so her ass looks big. I don't know if I can live with that or not. But I bought them so the locals couldn't see that I smashed them into the windshield with a rock when I was getting out of my backpack. I don't deny that my tires are covered. If you're swapping out your factory bumper for one of those fancy black square sliding bumpers with all the nose strut attachments, you know what? With them go…

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Weight

I think they are well made and would be a great addition, except Teraflex forgot to mention one important thing: they work not with bumper wraps. In all the great videos Dennis makes for the Teraflex, they should point out that if you can't see the mounting location by looking directly into the wheel arch at the bottom rear flare point, these fenders won't work. I have a Fishbone Off-Road rear bumper that covers the lower quarter of the fairing just like the original bumper. It was not possible
