Bought for camping on my 2006 Honda Pilot. Rather than using them as shade, my main goal was to be able to open the windows at night to allow air to circulate and keep bugs out (or frankly open windows that people can reach through). They've worked great so far although I've only used them about half a dozen times and every time I've put them on I've felt like the fabric is so flimsy that it will catch on a sharp corner and tear could.

I have a Hyundai Elantra Touring. I definitely had to fiddle around fitting the covers to my windows so nothing was hanging off the corner.
