Enhanced Viewing 1920x1080p, 75Hz, Adaptive Sync VA2055SA Monitor by ViewSonic Review

I bought this monitor assuming it came with an HDMI connection, it didn't and didn't have a DVI connection, only VGA. However, the monitor worked and ViewSonic makes great monitors. ViewSonic VA2055SA 20" 1080p VGA LED Monitor

It wasn't clearly labeled as a VGA-only output; It required some searching which I realized after I got it. Otherwise it works fine.

Most other monitors have a response time of around 5ms, this one has 25ms. I thought it might be a typo but the official site says 25ms.

At first I liked the monitor and its performance, but as others have reported, the performance was underperforming. It recovered from the initial crash, but then started shutting down after a few seconds. In the end it didn't work at all. Returned within 30 days and bought another brand. I know it's possible to get bad items, but my experience isn't unique. Will avoid the brand from now on.

I needed a basic external monitor for a security NVR and this article fitted the bill. I've owned and used ViewSonic monitors in the past and had decent success with them. This device has a basic VGA connection and together with the 1920 x 1080 resolution it meets my needs. Luckily it didn't have any dead pixels, brightness and image quality are "good enough" for what I needed; and for less than $100 I feel like I'm fine.

This is an amazing monitor. In addition, this is the only monitor of this size (commercially available) with true FHD resolution that I could find. If it were re-released with smaller bezels and HDMI, I'd buy another with more enthusiasm.

Monitor display is ok. The lack of an HDMI or DVI port prevents this from being a 4 star monitor for the price. The cable that came with it is quite short so although I bought it to replace my second 4:3 monitor I ended up using it on just one other computer due to the short cable and need for an adapter.

The display quality meets my needs and the price was great. I was disappointed that it only had a VGA input; I was expecting it to also have a DVI input since it was advertised as an HD monitor. My fault: I should have looked more closely.

I wish it had an HDMI port, but it's dated so it's fine. The base is a little thin, otherwise they are good. The picture is great on my old computer. The resolution is a bit blurry on my new computer.

When I use it in portrait mode, it works great for my purposes. Would recommend to anyone who needs a small monitor. Thanks for attention.

Works great as a second screen for my son's Macbook Pro. The color is good. This could use some better screen settings. That's my feedback.

The monitor is not up to standard and I contacted the seller and got no response and then the return period expired and now it's stuck on a monitor that I can't use because it only has a VGA port.

I was happy with the picture quality and brightness as I like to work outside on my patio. It's fine in the shade on a clear day. However, check one thing before you buy it. "With VGA" model means VGA ONLY, and the included cable has VGA on both ends. You need to buy another cable (HDMI to VGA) to use this monitor with a laptop.

Nice pic. The only downside is that the controls are at the bottom of the monitor and the icons are hard to see. Nice picture. LED-backlit is a necessity these days.

The monitor is not height adjustable and the leg is very short. However, I bought it for a little-used system and it should work just fine, relying on a couple of dictionaries. (I should have read the specs more carefully) One caveat. They can be sold refurbished as new. There was extra tape in the box and the monitor's removable plastic screen protector had a patch of tape on it.

Cons: This is an inexpensive basement monitor. Ghosts are so bad that no games can be played on it, and it only has VGA, no HDMI. A monitor without these problems, but still cheap, costs only $10 more. Pros: The image quality itself (when the image isn't moving) is actually very good! Well, the price of course.

I bought a ViewSonic VA2055SA monitor to upgrade an old 1366x768 monitor of the same size. ViewSonic's best 1080p resolution is very evident (if you're thinking of going from a 720p monitor to a 1080p monitor, do it), and I'm happy with the image quality. helped me salvage my old computer, I had an old 15 inch LCD monitor that wasn't showing the full picture. Now I can see everything and don't have to buy a new computer.

However, this monitor is fine! If you have something older than Windows 10, this monitor is not compatible with it. It ALWAYS takes time to load pages, worse than dialing! I am currently looking for an old monitor and am not willing to upgrade to a computer that will work properly with this monitor. So I will store it when I upgrade my computers.
