Carbide can run at higher speeds than high-speed or cobalt steel, resisting wear and high cutting temperatures. Square nose end mills (also called square end) create sharp, unrounded cuts.

These bits work great. I've used it on steel and aluminum with great success. I still need to optimize my mini cutter's cooling system to make them last longer, but I'm very happy with them for dry cutting.
