Great way to connect a DB25 connector and replace wires

Making a programming cable for a scanner programmer and needed a way to change the configuration until he had the scanner programmed correctly and no further soldering wanted and desoldering the connection. This setup worked great, not much larger than a standard DB25 and still fit in the laptop and scanner port. I will buy more if needed.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Long wait

! Check your pin configuration before you go!

We have purchased the product TWICE and the first time we have connected this RS232 with the pin numbers printed on page 2,3,5. The connections were not 2,3,5 for RS232 which gave us a lot of heartburn connecting a home automation system to a security panel. Finally we checked with a multimeter and found that it uses pins 9, 8, 6! "Someone" at the factory must have been sleeping at work! The second time we bought this product we connected it to 9,8,6 and lo and beholdโ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆ.NOTHING AGAIN! It'sโ€ฆ

Well made, easy to connect cables.

First I connected the wires and used a voltmeter to figure out which hole connected to which wire. I used this to connect to an old set of Bose 321 gem speakers. Didn't want to cut into existing Bose cables. I connected each speaker in series for an impedance of 8 ohms. Works great with my Sony 5.1 receiver.

Pros
  • cable hole diameter. : 5mm/0.2" 6mm/0.23" 7mm/0.27" 10mm/0.4"; Material : Metal, Electrical part
Cons
  • Crumpled part

Ideal for making custom cables

I needed to create a custom mini din cable for a DB9 serial port for a project I was working on. This little adapter made it easy for me to create a "standard" DB9 end for easy connection to my PC. I cut an old mini din cable, crimped a couple of spade lugs onto separate wires, then connected them to the adapter's screw terminals. Everything worked great. My only complaint is that the terminal screws are not threaded properly - they are threaded too long so the screws don't "snap" into theโ€ฆ

Pros
  • No soldering required! It's so convenient. The case can prevent a short circuit
Cons
  • The cable is shorter than other picks
