Be careful with connectors

The product was fine but I accidentally connected the 'hot' side of the switch which I thought I had turned off. Since then, the single tone doesn't sound the same as before and has become much weaker. A replacement may need to be purchased due to operator error

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • New competitors have appeared

Good enough for government jobs

Not my 15 year old Klein set but for a quick job of toning a network cable or Romex works great. However, the probe is a bit noisy. By that I mean it buzzes a lot louder than my version of the Klein. However, it works fine for Jackson and I will not use it in my bucket. If it falls and breaks, so what.

Pros
  • Very good for the price
Cons
  • Piggy bank price

Does the job - network and cable tester

Works and does the job just as well as a pro but at a much lower price. For the price. CONS: Build quality. It looks cheap, and it's annoying that you can't open the battery door without first having the right screwdriver. If you intend to use it infrequently, it doesn't matter. If you plan on using this a lot, you'll probably get annoyed.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Slightly torn
