Happy and comfortable cat, but sad he can't lick his armpits anymore.

Suitable for our tomcat who decides to lick his armpits from time to time. He feels much more comfortable in it than in the soft cone that we put on him before. He can eat, drink, lie down and do whatever he wants besides licking his little shoulders. the belts were tucked away and not visible until I knew what to look for).

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • You could choose a newer model

smart and tireless

We found (and adopted) a street dog who is active, smart and tireless. I tried to get her used to traditional Elizabethan collars before neutering - she didn't agree! Would grab her neck and take her off within 2 minutes whether it was the tie/collar version or the snap on version. Then she tried to blow up the collar - she couldn't get it off, but she clung to it until it either burst or she injured herself. I ordered this and she doesn't even pretend to have anything strange about her. Their…

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Hard to say

My Am Star/Pit mix had TPLO surgery on the right hind leg exactly 1 week ago. She was sent home by the vet with a hard plastic collar that had to be removed so she could eat, drink water or go outside and seemed very uncomfortable. I ordered it 2 days before her surgery and it was delivered just in time. Her neck is 18 inches and size 19-23 inches fits her. It is well padded inside and around the edges. Conclusion Conclusion We removed her normal collar and she seems very comfortable in it. It…

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Easy to repair

There is very little information in the description of this product. I bought this to keep my Great Dane from reaching the tip of the tail. About 3 inches of his tail was crushed and then amputated leaving a very long tail with very tempting stitches to lure my dog in and ruin the surgery. Unfortunately, it has a very long body and snout and could still easily curl up and reach its tail and even its hips while wearing a new collar. That collar didn't even slow him down. The problem with this…

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Very expensive

Not effective on its own but good when paired with an e-collar

My labrador is a 55 lb girl, does not have unusually long legs or muzzle but can use any e-collar during the day. She is allergic to fleas and prone to yeast in her ears. She continued to chew on her buttocks and hind legs because her flea treatment had become ineffective (we've since switched places) and caused a fungal infection. Then, of course, she got another one in her ears. She scratched, licked and chewed all the fur on her back, paws and ears even after being treated for every problem.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Good but not great
