The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

So let's start with the good. This resin has excellent finishes and is durable without yellowing. It goes well with mica and other additives. The bad isn't really that bad, just some things you need to be aware of. This is an industrial resin so it is very thick and will heat up when mixed. I use silicone molds but make sure they aren't afraid of the heat. You will also have a lot of bubbles, so you often have to check for bubbles and know how to remove them with a heating tool. It cures faster

Pros
  • Eliminates craters, craters and fish eyes
Cons
  • Older model

Smooth as silk, easy to work with

Just started making epoxy cups and on the advice of others I decided to go with Pro Marine. And I'm very glad I did. This epoxy is very easy to work with and the result is silky smooth. It consists of two parts; Part A is thicker, Part B is thinner. Mix together equal parts at a time and stir slowly until well combined. I had no problems with blisters. I then slowly poured into my glass, smoothing it out with my gloved fingers. After about 10 minutes I used a heat gun to get the epoxy agitated…

Pros
  • Blush Resistant. 2 liters in total.
Cons
  • crumpled

Customer for life! Amazing product and customer service.

Pro Marine has great products! Their epoxy works great and works well with both clear and pigmented. In the picture I've attached it has a clear top coat (which is so beautifully clear you can barely see it) as well as a mixed pigment epoxy (green and yellow base coat). It's really great to work with him. If you mix it as the company describes, you'll have plenty of pouring time. Be sure to use a burner (micro burner is best) to remove bubbles as you mix. I also have to comment on the customer…

Pros
  • Produces a strong, glossy, waterproof finish
Cons
  • Not sure
