    The paint is washed off with oil. The baby puts it in his mouth. Problems

    We bathe in the water with some coconut oil. Obviously all the paint on this toy comes off with oil. My baby sucked on this and I can see his mouth is full of paint. Since he loves this toy so much, I removed all the paint with coconut oil on a washcloth. The toy is now white and blue with glued eyes. Needless to say, it's not great if your kid swallows unfamiliar color :/

    Color is peeling

    We received this toy today my 1 year old daughter was so excited when she saw the toy I let her play and like all 1 year olds that was the first thing she did to put it in your mouth . After about 15 minutes she handed it back to me and I noticed that the paint on the penguin's legs had peeled off. I was thrilled I gave her this to play in the bath but considering the paint is peeling it's not safe for a baby. I'm frustrated why draw a toy for kids who put everything in their mouths.

    Not everything that should be.

    Like it but would suggest saving money and getting a submarine monkey swim toy. It's much easier for you and the kids. This toy is very cute, but to use it you have to wind it up by holding the penguin's small arms and rotating the body in opposite directions. again and again. and again. Children can easily use all their bath toys except this one. . However, he swims, which is cute. It also drips when you take it out of the tub and put it on its side which is a plus so it doesn't get moldy. Soโ€ฆ

    The color comes off easily.

    As expected, the first place this toy went in my 9 month old baby's mouth was. And almost immediately paint began to crumble from his mouth. It has 4 teeth and could easily scratch the paint. Thinking it was an isolated case, I tested it with my fingernail and it came off with no effort. We didn't really look at the product, we just thought it was cute. But now that I've read more reviews and see others reporting the same issue, I think Munchkin should consider recalling this item. It's reallyโ€ฆ

    Nice toy, good concept, doesn't really swim

    We bought this little guy to swim but unfortunately the swim function doesn't work very well. The mechanism that drives the "fins" is one of those old-school winding jobs that doesn't have an internal stop to prevent rewinding, or a good indication that you're close to the limit, and once it buckles is, it doesn't work. Relax very well. The fin strength is also quite weak, making it difficult for him to swim very far. To make matters worse, the toy isn't buoyant enough, so it quickly absorbsโ€ฆ

    Pleasantly surprised

    First of all they are bigger than I expected. I bought stockings thinking they were the size of a typical clockwork toy and they are bigger lol. One of the cheapest things bought and one of their favorites. Since they are so big I'm not sure how much room there would be for soaking in the tub but the pool would be great too. I had them test it in the sink on Christmas night, the next day a six year old asked me if he could take a bath, but practically the moment I walked in the door after work!
