No aquarium sand! suitable for sand

is false advertising. As others have said, it is not aquarium sand. Do not place in tanks with live animals! It keeps air pockets in the sand and stays afloat, and if you try to sink it it will only create more floating sand no matter how long you leave it. Waste of money and false advertising

Pros
  • complete set
Cons
  • can be retrofitted

Worked great! - Sand

Ordered because son wanted green sand for his frog tank. We have African dwarf frogs. It took a lot of sand washing. Before I could put it in the tank. But I expected that, I also used a net with no holes to scoop out the sand that was still floating. I would recommend this to others just knowing what to do.

Pros
  • Annual trial period
Cons
  • embarrassing

ONLY 1 BAG NOT 6! Very fine sand.

Update Revain refunded my money and left me a bag. This sand is very fine, floats strongly and does not sink even after rinsing. Sand also packs poorly and can trap too many air pockets for anaerobic bacteria. This listing clearly states that you will receive 6 packs, each of which is a 5lb sack of green sand. It says the weight is 30 pounds. I only got a Β£5 bag for $26 what a rip off.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Secret

DO NOT buy this for your aquarium.

people. no I've had aquariums since I was a kid, I currently have an 80 gallon saltwater reef tank, have been doing it for a long time and have seen a lot. I've never seen sand like this before. You have absolutely no right to sell it as aquarium sand. I bought this sand to build a pasture like aquarium for a friend. It was the only green sand (grassy) I could find that said 'for the aquarium'. The particle size on it is like that of a powder. He immediately grabs the air and rises. For…
