I researched several dog door options. This was the best in several categories: installation, functionality, price and level of structural damage. We have a German Shepherd Husky mix that weighs almost 60 pounds and is a perfect match for her. I placed it a little higher off the ground for her to be comfortable using, but not too high because we also have a 15 pound Chihuahua mix with small feet. Installation was a little tricky, mostly because the instructions weren't very clear (as many have pointed out), but the concept is pretty simple, so using common sense you can get the installation done fairly easily. I used super glue as directed but it just got my fingers dirty. Now that everything is done I really don't think the use of glue is necessary as it won't hold the frame in place while you work. Since I installed it myself, using a glass slide as a pad really helped. I used a mini mallet, but a rubber mallet works best. If you can, I highly recommend having someone else help with the installation, or just remove the screen from the rail and set it on a flat surface, as gravity is a pain with this thing. I see no point in fixers. So I just broke them up and threw them away. If we need security, we just close the slider. My large dog figured this out very quickly after a bit of training and treats. My little dog is afraid of it, but mostly stays at home anyway. The big dog comes in and out, so it's perfect. I hope it will stand up to repeated use. So far, so good.전체 리뷰보기
