I have a crappy connection - I'm calling Comcast

I don't know much about built-in hardware, but I bought this to solve a longstanding problem. My wiring is old (1960's) and my neighbors get a lot of feedback on the shared coax. It was an ongoing feud: I've got a crappy line - I'll call Comcast. the technician comes out, says that there is a built-in filter. remove it and my connection is fixed! . Then my neighbors have a bad connection and call Comcast who send a technician and ship the filter back. No bueno. The technician came out and…

Pros
  • Internal circuit board for more reliability/durability. Weatherproof construction on the outside to protect against the elements
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Still comes as 2 kits and works with Time Warner 100Mbps Internet

Works well with my Time Warner 100Mbps cable modem. My area supports newer updated internet speeds so don't worry if you are also in one of these updated network areas. I hooked this up to my Zoom 5370 cable modem and digital tuner provided by the cable company. I purchased these in June 2016 and they came in a pack of 2, although this is not specifically stated on the written product description page. I thought I was only getting one so getting two was a bonus. It seems to be put together well

Pros
  • 5-2300MHz Bidirectional Digital Coax Cable Splitter for CATV and Satellite and works great for MoCa
Cons
  • Does not fit all

Worked when it worked

Bought to see if my moca provided splitter can't handle my connection. I had a speed limit to slow down to 70Mbps when I only got 50 seconds. My data plan says I need to throttle to 250Mbps. After about a week of use, my modem was unavailable. I've been troubleshooting with the ISP tech and even reconnected my lines to the splitter and nothing worked until I removed the second splitter. As soon as I connected, my signal came back. It looks like one of the two I bought from myself is a defective

Pros
  • All ports connected to network for basic satellite connection
Cons
  • No power

Great for COX with 300Mbps internet speeds

I have a COX cable for internet and phone. In my house in 2011 the only available internet speed was 30 Mbit/s. COX now provides >300Mbps internet to my house and my equipment is outdated. I found that I could just buy a new cable modem (I chose the SB6190) and use my existing internet/phone modem as the phone part. (There are currently no DOCSIS 3.0 internet/phone modems available that support 300 Mbps throughput). This BAMF coax splitter worked great for my application. The internet speed…

Pros
  • 5-2300MHz Bidirectional Digital Coax RF Splitter for Cable TV and Satellite TV and great for MoCa
Cons
  • Available in white only
