I didn't like that the previous homeowner installed drywall AROUND the previous hood, but I was able to install this without ripping out the drywall that the next homeowner might hate me in 40 years. Either way, this moves a lot of air at low speed, and I'll have to wait until I burn some to see how quickly it clears the air at medium or high speed. I hope it's not soon.

I purchased this item but it arrived with side and front damage. The property damage was minor, but could not be determined. I received a replacement ordered by Revain Support. A week later I received the device and it was damaged again. The first had damage on the left side and the second had exactly the same damage but on the right side. We had trouble receiving a damaged lens hood. The first was dented and was sent back. The second block preserved, also a small dent in front. Both times it didn't look like shipping damage as the boxes were undamaged. Revain told me I could return a second one for a refund, but they wouldn't ship a third unit. We really liked the look of this device, so we negotiated a discount on the crumpled hood. After installation we are very happy with the performance, quiet operation, lighting and design.

I replaced a previous Broan vent with this and it is a little shorter top to bottom so in some cases it needs an adjustment point with my backsplash. Works better than my previous range hood. This was a second unit or a replacement for a dented, damaged unit, no papers and no installation kit/wiring. This plug-in also lacked the paperwork, specs, and wiring of the mounting kit. I had to contact the manufacturer to get electronic document files and send me the missing installation kit. This option is of much lower quality than the previous one and is more difficult to install as it does not have a template for the traditional fixing method showing the screw holes.
