    Type of review

Looks like this is the first review of the CKL 4-Port KVM Switch with two DisplayPort 4K 60Hz Monitors, 4 Computers x 2 KVM Monitors I recently bought two BenQ 4k monitors and needed to upgrade the CKL HDMI version to one that supports DisplayPort to run at 60Hz or higher instead of 30Hz to reach. I ordered a 2-Port Dual DisplayPort 4k@60Hz but had to return it and replace it with this one. The reason I had to return the dual port is that it only ran at 60Hz even at other resolutions like 2k…

    2 4K @ 60Hz monitors were not working

I have two 4K @ 60Hz monitors. I set up this unit to find out the monitor signal was poor, the screen was flickering. I swapped the cables, but the same problem. So I packed it up and sent it back.

    Shuts down sometimes

KVM should switch reliably. This works 90% of the time. The remaining 10% requires a duty cycle. Sent back and not recommended.

    • Not bad

I bought this to run 2 monitors (Dell S2417DG) at 1440p at 120hz each (these are 144hz monitors but for this unit I dropped them down to 120hz). This is within the specs for DisplayPort 1.2 (same pixel-per-second requirements as advertised for 4k@60hz) so I assumed it would be fine. Unfortunately the product did not live up to expectations. Whenever I tried to run the monitors at 1440p@120hz, the image would cut off immediately. 1440p at 90Hz worked, but it's well below the speed that…

Doesn't work well with high refresh rate 5k monitors

While this is a decent KVM and works well on my work PC, I needed to connect my widescreen monitor directly to my PC to take advantage of the higher refresh rate . Additionally, the audio quality going through this device is pretty poor, and gaming keyboards are not recognized by their software when plugged into the designated keyboard/mouse ports. This device works, but for high-end monitors and audio it's worth looking for something more powerful if you don't want to compromise or…

    Black screen on every port

For some reason almost every existing DisplayPort KVM is junk and this one takes over, I just get an image from the bios and then a black screen, from every port, computer and cable I use have tested. Also, I had a weird keyboard that worked fine in another KVM's dedicated keyboard port. This doesn't work unless I use a USB hub port instead. It's mostly worth its weight in scrap and a bit more.

An excellent switch for computers and accessories

An excellent switch for my money (I've been using it for over a month). I currently have it set up with 2 monitors and 3 laptop docks (1 spare case will be needed in the future). It works great overall, although I've had occasional computer reboots a few times. Given the prices of similar products on the market I would definitely give 5 stars.

While this is a decent KVM and works great on my work PC, I had to connect my widescreen monitor directly to my PC to take advantage of the higher refresh rate. Almost perfect, but interference makes audio connections unusable

On paper, this KVM was perfect for my needs; Dual support 4k + sound. I've used other CKL switches that handle the audio from the USB interface (the switch contains the USB audio interface) as opposed to this switch which literally passes analog audio from your other computers. Unfortunately, severe audio interference occurs when working in high resolution. It has nothing to do with cables or computer sound sources; This appears to be due to the lack of escapes within the switch itself. USB and

    Worst KVM switch I've used

At first I was thrilled that I finally had a DisplayPort KVM switch that supported four computers with two monitors, and I kept this unit as a backup for a while before finally plugging it in. When I did, I was monumentally disappointed. I have a three monitor setup, with two monitors connected to a KVM switch and one connected directly to my main Linux machine. With my old KVM switch, switching from machine A to machine B meant that machine A continued to function exactly as if I hadn't…

Didn't work for me in Computer Components

My windows desktop (with 1 DP port worked fine) but my windows laptop (with 2 DP ports) initially showed no video on any of them. my monitors. After playing around with it for an hour or two, I found a sequence of steps that got both monitors working: turn off both monitors, restart the laptop, turn on one monitor, wait for the video to stabilize, then the other monitor turn on (in the correct order). But when I switched to my desktop, the (previously working) monitor went black. I couldn't…
