Fits and feels solid

I only use this for a bike rack. I bought an Allen Sports Deluxe 3-Bike Hitch Mount Rack with a 1.25/2" receiver, but it definitely seems strong enough to handle a lot more. I also like that it's a locking pin. I don't want anyone stealing my bike rack so it will definitely serve its purpose I have a 2007 Mercury Mariner and it fits this tow bar.

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • thin

Gives you a sense of security

Item arrived on time, packaging unopened (new), instructions/operation was easy. I don't use it now because the bike rack I bought had a bolt that eliminated the bike rack wobble, although I plugged in a lock and used it a bit earlier and didn't encounter any problems. I kept it (instead of returning it) as I'm sure I'll find a use for it in the near future!

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Really don't like it, everything is fine

Pray the lock doesn't stick.

Locking mechanism on this junk. It is spring loaded and retracts when the key is turned. However, it's quite prone to glitches and either stays locked (if you're unlucky) or unlocked (if you're lucky). At least in my case the locking mechanism got stuck in the open position. The pen that I thought was locked up was actually just pretending to be locked up. I took off this piece of junk and replaced it with a good old hitch pin until I found a better replacement for the lock.

Pros
  • Brings joy
Cons
  • poorly thought out

Well, while it lasted!

I bought it in 2014. It worked well for the Curt Cargo bike rack and trunk. But as the photos have already posted in the reviews, maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow. but the locking mechanism pops out and everything falls apart. Luckily it was after I got home from a bike ride that I reached over to remove the lock and jamb and the part that held the key was halfway out of the lock. If it came off completely I wouldn't be able to remove the lock from the hitch without cutting it.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Excellent hitch lock

Sturdy and I love that there is a cover for the keyhole to keep out dust and water. I still recommend spraying it with WD40 to prevent rust, although it appears to be rust resistant. This is the second I've bought from them. One was for my sister for her hitch and she was very happy with it too. Ergonomically, it's very easy to install, although it has locking and unlocking holes, which is very important to me as I hate fiddling with things. I always end up breaking my fingers on things that…

This is a lock. in Receivers

I bought this to move to the Northeast US in March. Not my ideal, but hey, no bugs! This lock perfectly protected my recipient. It wobbled a little at first. On one of his hikes, he became wedged in the safety chain loop on the trailer hitch. The knocking stopped. The reason I give it 3 stars is because the lock has corroded after only a month of first use and it is too long to be reliable when used with a 1.25" hitch. Of course I used it in salt water. Environment, kept it in salt for a week…

Pros
  • Easy to Use
Cons
  • Quick Guide
