Easy to install and works great

They are very easy to install and love the feature that they fold up and stay out of the way. I have a small shop full of tools and the Dewalt planer is a great tool but it doesn't get used all the time so keeping the tools compact when not in use is a great feature for my shop. It is also worth noting that they are held by gravity and do not require any other mechanism. When open they really help stabilize the wood going through the planer and make better cuts. Installation requires only four…

  • Consistent test results

Grow the planer bed with

Added to my DW735 planer. I aligned the input and output trays so they lay flat against the plane bed. They're thick, bent steel, so they're not ideal in terms of flatness, but I was able to get them straight all the way around. With them I still had a problem with the sniper, and the wood sometimes went slowly through the planer. I used paraffin wax to lubricate the bed and trays and this solved both the slow feed and snipe problems. My guess is that the extra length of the feed bowl created…

  • Absolutely amazing!

After 3 years of running the DW735 I installed an important part

Over the past 3 years I have run hundreds of feet of board through the 735 by pulling up the back of the board and running in and out the front of the Board(s) coming out but still experiencing a snipe. Solid maple, Honduran mahogany and black walnut are now hands free. Installation requires an adjustment: take a ruler and a Phillips screwdriver for the mounting screws on the edge of each table. Only the weight and the clumsiness of the machine make attaching 8 small screws under the machine a…

Doesn't eliminate slugs but mitigates them

I bought these for two reasons. First, I definitely needed a longer work surface so I wasn't chasing every piece of wood I put through the planer. Another reason is that I wanted to exclude snip. He masters the first task well, but teaches the snipe little. That being said, if you fire the wood at a slight angle it works better and there is very little sniping. What others have said, they are correct in saying that the back table does not stay folded. The corners meet the base of the planer…

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Requires pedestal

Non-folding output table issue solved by simply bolting a 35 x 60 x 125mm block of wood black metal frame underneath the dust outlet. The front is cut to length at a 77 degree angle, with the shortest side being 20mm wide, allowing the tray to fold flat against it, avoiding the power cord. Install a 10mm rare earth magnet in the center of the block and the output tray is now held. firmly lifted and out of place without touching the power cord. It's amazing why Dewalt never added this simple…

Pros
  • Enjoy
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Installing the tables was easy, took about 5 minutes and 3 of them read the instructions. Before I added the tables, my DW735 produced an incredible snipe. They were factory set at the ends of the tables about 1/16 inch higher than my planer bed. According to some YouTubers, the perfect setup. shine after about 10 minutes. After a few sample samples and a few side grain cutting boards, it's like a whole different machine. Highly recommended. The snipe is almost gone, nothing a quick grind…

I just put them on and they fit like GLOVES

I just put them on and they fit like GLOVES (well fitting leather gloves or maybe just custom made nitrile gloves)! very tight, clean fit, virtually no play. They fold well, HOWEVER, the outlet side table will NOT fold straight unless the top is fully raised. This is annoying because to keep it from falling, you have to pick it up to move it (which is VERY easy on Dewalt's defense, click two pins and bam!). I was just moving it last night and while it was being transported in my hands a slight…

A good option with a few flaws

8 screws to attach 8 screws to adjust this is a quick and easy way to add stability. Stamped from fairly thick steel, they look very strong when attached and are easily removed with spring loaded pins. Few things to know Because they are made of stamped steel, they are not perfectly flat. One of mine seems to have a slight curve, both have a small bow. None of these have a significant impact on overall/finished joinery performance. If you're looking for something more precise, you probably need

  • Good product for the price

Better. So after further research

Okay, I've read the reviews here and on a few other sites and just feel compelled to sign up. First, using 735 without these tables resulted in a snipe. Managed by raising at each end of the board, but still shoots from cover. There are almost no more snipes at these tables. The minimum snipe I got with these tables installed is less than 1,000. I can live with that. Second, I read that these tables are not stackable. It's bullshit. let me explain. When I first installed them, the exit table…
