They are very easy to install and love the feature that they fold up and stay out of the way. I have a small shop full of tools and the Dewalt planer is a great tool but it doesn't get used all the time so keeping the tools compact when not in use is a great feature for my shop. It is also worth noting that they are held by gravity and do not require any other mechanism. When open they really help stabilize the wood going through the planer and make better cuts. Installation requires only four screws and a ruler to ensure the tables are flush with the main face of the planer.
