Very good paper for hot pressing.

Very good hot press paper. I like it as much as Arki that I do watercolor underpaintings with colored pencils. It's smoother than the Arches heat press - great for my pencil work.

Pros
  • Special offer
Cons
  • Expensive insurance

Not what I expected

I was happy to order new watercolor brushes because I thought they would help me improve my technique. They are good for holding color and water, but hair loss and hair loss with those emerging from the wild are not very pleasant to deal with. I think I wasted my money.

Pros
  • Always liked
Cons
  • Not reliable

Very good paper - Watercolor paper

This one was recommended to me and I'm glad I tried it. Great paper for what I wanted it for. Hot pressing so it's pretty smooth which is what I wanted. Holds very well for ink, light watercolors and light acrylic paints. And that's a very good price since you get 50 sheets. I recommend this paper.

Pros
  • Suitable for many people
Cons
  • Boring packaging

Suitable for practice, but nothing more

This is normal for practice. The brand name made me hope it would be high quality but little did I know it was only 25% cotton. It breaks easily and absorbs masking liquid well without cracking. So I wouldn't buy it for professional work, but it will be enough for practice.

  • Pretty packaging

Very very good paper for the price

I like to try to stay on the cheaper side of my art supplies so I can play and experiment freely and not feel like I'm burning money. But I don't feel like painting on open Revain boxes either. You want decent quality. You will definitely get it here with this pillow. The nice weight works well with watercolors. Good ending. All in all great value but good quality.

  • Few competitors

Ideal for illustrations

This paper has one of the smoothest watercolor finishes you can get. This is a find for illustrative purposes only. Now you have to be careful, because the paper quickly absorbs ink and water. It tends to warp when you start overdoing it with your layers. If you are patient and careful with it, this paper will quickly become your favorite. Economical, smooth cardstock and just great for drawing, this is my go-to choice for ink and watercolor.

They sent a damaged product

I have wanted to try this paper for a long time but I was very disappointed with what they sent me. Each page is creased in the left corner, the back cardboard looks like a notepad fell on the corner. The shipping box had no damage. On the top of the block is a label scrawled with a barcode and marked with an "X", giving the impression that this has already been marked as a damaged product. I'm honestly very disappointed. In order to get a replacement or refund, I have to return the pillow. As…

The paper is great, but beware!

1 star for unprofessional shipping, product arrived unprotected resulting in crumpled paper. I would not recommend buying from this seller. Now for the paper test: Great paper for hot printing and a good alternative to the Strathmore 400 Mixed Media which only has 15 sheets. This is the best bang for your buck when it comes to hands-on work or even finished work. This paper handles traditional gouache and acrylics very well with little to no warping as long as you don't attack the paper with a…

High quality, good value for money

I really like this paper and it costs about 60 cents a sheet and for me it's really worth the price. If you are looking for inexpensive hot printing or have never used hot printing but are considering it, I recommend this paper. I love the smooth texture it gives to my finished paintings. I've heard some painters complain that it doesn't have enough water for them - my technique is relatively simple I think, but it works better for me compared to other medium quality hot press papers.
