Looks good but no blade guard

This is a gift so I can't judge the quality of this knife. What surprised me was the lack of a blade guard. All that comes with this knife is a tiny piece of plastic that covers the tip of the blade.

    Great knife at Chef's Knives

Every time I pick up this knife I'm glad I bought it. It has the weight and balance of a large knife. Yes, it's a bit pricey, but if you're looking for a good - I mean really good - chef's knife, you can't go wrong with this knife.

    Good knife good price!

My former chef and I asked him for a recommendation on a knife that costs no more than $100 but is still good! He sent me a link to this knife. I love when I cook meat, it cuts through with no resistance! And I always wash it immediately. He's always been obsessed with hand washing his nice knives so I do that too lol.

    Decent knife for the price

This knife is well balanced and has a comfortable grip. With brands like Henckels it's always hard to tell if the knives they make are really good or just trading on the good name of the brand. I'm not very impressed with how the blade is holding up yet, but I'll need to sharpen the knife and see how it performs.

Sharp rusty knife.: Cutlery & knife accessories

I was curious about this knife. I have a set of JA Henckels that I have about 3 years old but they are all notched. So I ordered these and expected the same quality. Within 2 months the Stater blade developed slight rust on both sides. The third month was the worst. I tried everything to remove the rust but nothing worked. After the last wash of the knife I noticed that the handle was cracked in 4 different places. I am very disappointed in this knife. I took care of him and he let me down. I'm

Good weight for an 8 " chef's knife

Recommended by Consumer Reports in October 2021. Bought as a gift for my wife. It has a good weight, a sharp blade and a thickness that does not interfere with cutting. As this is a gift, use of the knife should be deferred until my wife uses it. It doesn't seem to have the issues mentioned in previous reviews, such as: B. a flexible blade, oxidized coating or chipping on the cutting edge. Since it hasn't been used yet, I'll have to see if there are any problems with using it. We do not wash…

Good steel but plan some work to sharpen it before use.

Looks like a good knife but with some caveats. It's forged, with a full shank, which is good. The steel appears to be good and well tempered. Other reviews claim they broke the tip, suggesting it may be too hard, but better than too soft. The spine is quite flexible, but even strong pressure did not bend it. The downside is that it's cheaply made, with the finishing touches seeming to be done quickly by hand. This is regular sharpening, not very sharp, and my edge profile was a little wobbly…

    Spanish handle? HENCKELS is German.

This is not a GERMAN Henckels knife. This is a cheaper version made in Spain. The handle finish is sloppy, with gaps and cavities on the shaft (bit of metal through the handle), and the blade feels very different than my German ground version of this knife. It's cheaper but not worth the money. I would compare it to a Chicago Cutlery knife.

    Excellent paring knife

Bought this knife to replace a lost one (probably thrown away accidentally!). I have a collection of 5 of these knives, from chop to chop, and I love them all. I've been using them for almost 40 years. I regularly use the sharpener that comes with the knives and they sharpen perfectly. None of them have ever needed repair, the rivets are stuck, the handles still look like new. Although I don't run a restaurant or cook for a large family or group, we eat home-cooked food almost every day, so…

Low Quality Steel - Chef's Knife

This is my wife's chef's knife and we have had it for over a year now. She mainly cuts vegetables with it. I have an outsource sharpening service and have noticed an excessive amount of chipping on the top. The steel is X 50 CR MO V15, respectable with a Rockwell hardness of around 58, so I don't know what the problem is. My problem is that for the third time since I've had it I have to remove an excessive amount of material to get to the shavings and I can already see the curve of the blade…

Excellent knives and compare to Profi S

I bought this set because I wanted another paring knife and another 8" chef's knife and these items cost as much as these 3 pieces. These knives complement my existing Professional S Set and I'm sure I'm not the only one wondering what the difference is between this Professional S Set and the Professional S as the latter costs about twice as much Forum for knives and cutlery and quickly found that the difference is only in the size of the roll, the same steel, some hardening, the same carbon…
