Universal large hay net, see photo

What do you not like? Enter as much as you like. The bale shown is a three row, 120 pound West Coast alfalfa. I have two of these bale bags for my 3 horses available 24/7 and 2 bales now last about 5 days, 2 of my horses are still growing. 15+hh or 16hh. No skinny horses.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Upgrades

Continuous. I want to buy for all my horses.

I use this slow feeder and it holds about half a 75 pound bale. I don't think it will fit the whole bale, but I honestly haven't even tried to fit in one. This is the strongest hay net I have ever bought, my mare is a destroyer of everything and hasn't broken in a month.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Secret

Great net to feed all day.

I have been using this type of network for many years. They rarely break. Usually when they do, it's because I didn't secure it at enough stress points. They are gentler on horses muzzles/lips than traditional nylon hay nets. This is the simplest trellis to install on a tube sheet, allowing you to run straight through. The only thing I would change is the hole size. For my eaters they could be a bit smaller.

Pros
  • Robust design
Cons
  • Good but not great

For this review I am feeding Nigerian pygmy goats.

Ties are thin and short. With longer ones I was better able to carry the weight of a whole bale of hay. The goats jump on it with their front hooves to nibble the grass, so not only does the bale need support, it needs them and their tugs to get the hay out through the little holes. But other than that it works great - I don't expect it to last through the winter before it tears up. .

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Useless functions

Slow them down. a little

This product can save lives. That slows donkey down a bit. While you shouldn't let horses overeat, you absolutely cannot allow donkeys to do so. They evolved to travel long distances across the arid African plains in search of dry twigs and kibble. I only have 5 and one left the founder in a rare paddock this summer. Slow them down. Resist the temptation to fill it up for 24 hours as mine can polish it in an hour.

Pros
  • Best in class
Cons
  • No

Holds up well, holds a standard square bale

This net is perfect for accommodating a full 50lb medium square bale. We built the box with two metal rings at the diagonal corners and used a strong metal carabiner to secure the bale at both ends. These are the smallest holes I could find, probably just over 1 inch - my tiny female hand for reference. I've been using it for about a month now - my two horses have 24/7 access to it and manage to traverse the entire area. Bales for hours, even with tiny holes So far there are no holes orโ€ฆ

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Appearance

I wish I had gotten this sooner!

With the price of hay today, I'm tired of the waste I'm feeding my horse. She doesn't eat too much, she's dirty! She scattered hay all over the barn and mixed it with you-know-what, so I couldn't even find out. However, this hay net changed everything! Although I had my doubts that she could get enough hay through the holes, it's definitely not a problem. She's doing great. This net will hold quite a bit of hay when you stuff it, keeping waste to a minimum. Worth every penny! The net is veryโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Definitely bad product
