Excellent photos in the water

The image quality is excellent. Took it on many snorkeling and beach/pool trips. Underwater photos are great. Don't forget the white balance, even under water. Don't forget to rinse off after the beach or pool. I think that due to the fact that I didn't do this, it left a very stubborn stain of water droplets on the lens window. I've tried everything to erase it and it won't go away. The video quality is also excellent. Due to the annoying and ugly rubber coating I downgraded to 4 stars…

Love this camera - perfect for snorkeling

We originally bought the TS1 to use when we were in the Galapagos. I was completely sold to the camera. The battery would last all day, even with a lot of video. It charges quickly so you can use it over and over again. Now we are preparing to go to the Great Barrier Reef and lose TS1 while we were at home. I was heartbroken until I decided life was too short to "stand in front of another camera". Sure, around $300 isn't much, but it definitely got me thinking. Can't wait to snorkel to the GBR…

I now have 3+ years!

This is absolutely the best camera I have ever bought. He takes great pictures. Makes great videos. The FX presets are amazing and work with video in a way few pointers and shots do. It's only as strong as it's made, and then some. He survived a canoeing accident in rough seas. He has weathered dust storms in the High Sierra desert (Burning Man). He bounced off the hard wooden floor as he fell from a height of 10 feet. I can't be happier with that. Be sure to buy extra batteries. It's small, so

Beautiful Camera in Camera & Photo

We think this is a fun camera. He does practically everything they say. We've used it twice underwater and near water (snorkel) and had no problems. This Tamrac 3814 Neo Digital 14 camera case fits him like it was made for him. Must have if you buy one of these cameras. If the price doesn't put you off, you should be quite happy with the performance of this camera. You can watch the video online and get a free converter. I found Free HD Converter, it does the job perfectly, although the camera…

Just back from the Great Barrier Reef

Just got back from this little camera to the Great Barrier Reef in Cairns Australia and I was impressed! No water got into the battery/storage area and it worked perfectly underwater. When it comes to underwater photography, I want as little fuss as possible. And this camera took great pictures in iA mode. Even at full zoom (which is still a meager 3x due to the non-telescopic lens), stable, clear 14MP shots were produced. My previous camera, the Sony Cybershot, had to use a tripod to get…

Makes Hawaii even more fun

I bought this camera for a trip to Hawaii. I wanted to take it on the boat when we went snorkeling. We got some great shots of kids snorkeling and I got an amazing shot of a spinner dolphin. We also took photos of the kids in the resort pool. It was nice to be able to take my camera and not have to worry about getting splashed or sand filled on the beach. I had no issues with camera leaks. I made sure not to open it to change the battery or copy photos until I was safely back in my hotel room…

Great camera, bad software

I really like this camera. Really easy, great picture and video with sound quality. Leaving it on automatic setup worked very well. Of course I like more control so I changed the settings many times. It's easy to make changes and then switch back to auto mode for easy shooting. This camera has spent a lot of time underwater, in the sea, on the sand, in the middle of the waves. It survived everything. Sometimes it's a bit difficult to remove the tiny bits of sand around the rubber pads. The…

OK. I am giving this 3 stars ONLY because it was NOT the product I originally purchased. If they don't have the product you're paying for, it seems they just send you the next step instead. And that's what prompted me to buy a completely different underwater box so I can safely dive to great depths. This was fixed and the seller refunded me the difference and in fact the camera I bought is even better. So I would consider it a win-win. Other than that, these TS2 models are great! I had one…
