Great idea! - Power Tools and Hand Tools

Another fantastic accessory for Panavise. I use this on my Panavise 396. If you've done a lot of soldering/wiring, you've wondered where it's been all your life. With this cord holder paired with Panavise itself, it's like the other person in the room is holding everything for you. Bought Panavise 396 with Heavy Duty Blade and this wire holder has helped me a lot and saved me a lot of time.

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Functionality

Works well but overpriced

Handy item, easy installation, good design. A few wider loops on one end (like yes) would make it easier to accommodate larger wires like a standard mic cable. Whatever the case, using it for bigger things is a lot harder than it should be. It's definitely useful, but the $20 price tag is too high. $10 to $12 would be fair for what it really is. However, it has found a place on my desktop.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Low repairability

Holds wires

I mounted it on a PanaVise 376 extra wide opening self-centering head. It works well for holding the wires in place while the vise holds the circuit board. Doesn't stick well to Model 376 bars, slips off too easily. The clamp isn't soft, so if it were any tighter it would scrape the bars at 376. At $19 it's a bit overpriced, $10 to $12 would be fairer. It would be better if it was a little smaller, maybe half the size.

Pros
  • Hardened steel spring, zinc plated
Cons
  • unreliable

Extra Pair of Panavise 350 Arrows

A very nice complement to the standard PanaVise 350 vise. It attaches to one end of a sliding mechanism and can be adjusted away from your work. If this is not necessary, he turns to the side. It is designed to hold a wire or wires in a vise to get close to another wire or solder point you are working on. Makes soldering small components or wires super easy as you have a soldering iron in one hand and solder in the other, not to mention you can quickly put a piece down and use a can of coolant…

Pros
  • Nib Width: 3.375 inches (85.7 mm). Height: 1.13 (28.7mm)
Cons
  • Expensive

Unreasonably high price due to weak shutter adjustment clip

At $20 this is the worst PanaVise counterfeit as it is the absolute worst PanaVise product. Used it for a couple of months (and as other reviewers have mentioned all wire loops are the same size and very difficult to use for anything larger than AWG13/Ø1.8mm) but eventually it broke completely. The "clamp" that attaches the wire loop rod to the paired rods of the PanaVise head is inexplicably made of flimsy, thin steel; and after a few dozen (maximum!) adjustments, it would warp to the point…

Pros
  • Fits 366 Wide Bore and 376 Extra Wide Bore heads
Cons
  • Not sure
