Update (10/23): A few pins are bent. Contacted Syntech and received a replacement within a few days. Got it as part of a Syntech promotion. I recently upgraded to a 16-inch MacBook Pro (with USB-C ports only) and it's been a godsend when it comes to media transfers and editing . I no longer need a USB-C to USB-A adapter and then another converter or adapter. It fits my gray laptop, it's very thin, works like a charm, looks and feels very classy and professional. Definitely recommend!

Once you get a collection of these little cards, it always seems that the adapter is gone. Tested with my Note 8 on this old card, worked really well - reads the card the same way as a USB stick. The connection is nice and clear, and the construction feels solid. It also worked with another adapter (a mini adapter that goes from mini SD to micro SD), although the mini SD is pretty old stuff. I look forward to using it with my drone to upload camera videos to my phone.

Look it's cheap, it's poor, you really get what you pay for. To be honest, if I had known how cheap it was I wouldn't have bought it. It works, and frankly, it works very well. Functionally, I had no problems with it. Just be careful when you insert your CF card, do it very carefully and gently.
