Good but bad at sewing

I ordered these. I was happy to receive them but found they didn't fit my car. I have two options for attaching the legs to the machine. It didn't work anyway. If you fix it with a screw, the zipper foot will not fit properly. As a result, the zipper foot sits crookedly on the machine and falls off when you try to operate it. This device might be best for older machines from Singer, Juki and the like. No newer low shank machines.

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • Appearance

Poor quality Zipper foot

Zipper foot won't stay in place and moves when sewing. The thread of the screw holding the zipper foot is too small and weak. In fact, without screws, the screw can be inserted into the corresponding hole. This weak screw cannot be tightened and will cause the zipper foot to slip when lowered onto the fabric. This is a manufacturing defect. I used this zipper foot pattern in the 1970's and never had this problem.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Useless features

Useless scrap.

It's hard to believe that Singer would sell something like this under their own name. It's faint, crooked, improbable, not square. The leg itself flexes and wobbles and didn't move straight after I flexed the main body just enough to even work. I have a 50 year old that works great on my angled dobby that is needed for my straight dobby. It was done the way Singer once did. It's not like this. It also has a Singer stamp, but not this one.

Pros
  • Quality Construction
Cons
  • No Form Required

Works for me! best when sewing

The same type of zipper foot I lost a long time ago. My Singer is a portable machine I bought from HSN about 16 years ago, with classic straight and zigzag stitches, a very basic machine. So I laid the zigzag stitch to the left, placed the zipper foot on the feed mechanism and tightened it. Big! Sometimes I use a small wrench to adjust the foot because the spring inside really tightens it. I can move the stitch right or left and adjusting the screw on the foot gives me the perfect position…

Pros
  • Well built
Cons
  • Easily repairable

Good but not great.

Works but looks like the leg is crooked. It doesn't seem to show directly. Also, I would prefer a zippered foot because the foot has more contact with the racks, but in this version it's too narrow and it caused my fabric to move strangely and my seams didn't come out quite straight either. I give 3/5 stars because it does what it's supposed to, but not very well. If your machine can use a sewing foot, buy a zipper foot instead.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Don't even try to sew a zipper without this foot!

I am a hobby seamstress and have made several sleeping bags for my little one. The flash was my least favorite part of the project - always so difficult to install! No longer! I heard about the zipper foot and thought I'd give it a try - nothing to lose! Oh my goodness. This foot makes it easier to sew in zippers. Very comfortable and adjustable. I don't know how I used to sew in zippers (okay, I know, and they were a headache and they looked absolutely awful!). This leg was very cheap.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Quick start guide

Great, except. for sewing machine parts and accessories

I have the Singer Quantum Sylist presser foot 9960 and I was looking for this presser foot - something that allows me to sew very close to the zipper and is particularly good for sewing cords. The foot attaches easily after removing the low shank Snap-On Adapter Foot (for traditional Snap-On sewing feet). The zipper foot screws into the same place. The only thing that seems to be that the leg itself isn't pointing straight ahead, but slightly to the right. The slide bar on the back allows you…

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Doubtful
