Good quality, doesn't like a tight fit

I bought these to replace a pair of Sony in-ear sports headphones I bought about 15 years ago. I liked them for the sound quality, comfort and secure fit when running and exercising. My previous pair had a "hook" that went over the front and back of the ear. I would buy the same design if I could but I think Sony no longer makes this design. They have good sound quality and a secure fit, but are more difficult to put on and take off without tugging and fiddling with the earrings to get them…

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Ear hooks are a real problem

Bought these to try a different in-ear retention design as none of the non-hook types stay in the ears no matter how much force is used to twist them. So I decided to give them a try as the Sony name, reputation and price were all reasonable. Earhooks cause more pain than I thought. I have a small earring with a wrong earbud and I always have a hard time fixing this earlobe. In general, both sides are not the easiest to install. That being said, once in place, the speakers are in a good…

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • unreliable

Weak stuff broke right after the warranty expired.

The left channel failed after less than 100 hours of use, about a week after the warranty expired. FWIW, I take very good care of my gear. I kept them in a mint box in my backpack, never pulled them out by the string and always put them back in the box immediately after use. Sticking your ear through the earhook was figuratively painful, and wearing it for more than an hour was literally a pain. However, they stayed in place until I took them off no matter what I did. The sound quality was…

  • Great for me

  • Workout Sound with 13.5mm Driver - When you're feeling the pressure in the last minutes of your workout, the clear, energetic sound will keep you going until the morning. End

  • Could have chosen a newer model

Pros
  • Ensure a secure fit on your runs - Adjustable ear loops clip securely to your ears so you can actually move to the beat
Cons
  • Some bugs
