Exactly what I needed. That's what I thought

My daughter's 2008 Saturn Vue had a 'Check Engine' light. Installation was easy, the price was great, and the "Check Engine" light went off! UPDATE: About six months later. Got the dreaded code P0496 again.

  • There is a negative result

Partial Failure in Canister Flush Valves

Although this part was easy to install, it failed after 1 month. We took our Acadia to the auto repair shop and they checked when it started doing exactly the same thing it was doing before we installed the part. Even though the warranty for parts is 1 year, I cannot return. It's over the mark to bring it back to Amazon.

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

piece of trash. Broke after 2 km.

Garbage. I installed this on my Saturn after it had trouble starting when I put gas in. Driven about 2 km after installation and started making a terrible knock. Put my old one back in and it stopped. I will only buy one from a reputable store like Auto Zone. I'm tired of being scammed by Revain sellers. This is the last time I will buy anything here.

Made in China. I installed this in a 2008 Saturn Vue. We didn't drive the car for several days and after a few short drives the check engine light came on with the same code. I took everything apart to check all hoses and were they all ok? Cleared the code and it came back after a few more short rides? Googled how to tell if vapor canister purge valve is broken and sure enough it's a dead player? Replaced a Mexican made AC Delco part (NOT Revain) and all is good but it's been over 30 days soโ€ฆ

Worked for about 90 days and then failed.

Our 2008 Saturn Vue had the good old check engine light on and the ODB scanner said the purge valve solenoid needed replacing. The local parts store was out of stock so we ordered from Revain and received the part quickly. It is built in and perfect to replace the old one. We cleared the codes and were happy. Three months later the check engine light came on again and when we checked the valve for proper operation it was stuck open. Reading other reviews I'm glad to see we weren't the only ones

Pros
  • Excellent design
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Works best in parts

Worked great on our 2009 Chevy Traverse. We had starting problems after filling up the car. Change is not long and easy. You need a 10mm screw. The only thing that was different on our car was the location of the bolt and how it went through where the bolt held it. Many other purge valve solenoids have a different way of mounting the screw on the side. It was very similar to our way of attaching the bolt, but if your old bolt is still fine you can just use it. After installation, our car had no
