Suitable for spikes or speaker feet.

These wood inserts were used to install speaker carpet spikes on a very heavy subwoofer. They are much better than the non-threaded inserts that come with spikes. Very sure.

It's a pretty good price

I was ok with the product it seemed to be doing what it was supposed to do but when I opened the box it had 23 packs instead of 25 . a lot but frustrating that I didn't have enough sold quantity

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Only available in black

Good for adding casters to furniture

I used these to add threaded casters to a sewing table I made for my wife. I drilled a hole in 3/4" thick oak plywood, screwed in these inserts, and then screwed on the casters. It's easy to do and works with no problems.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Some issues

Exactly as described but make sure you have a 10mm bit

Exactly as described. Only chipped off from the start because you need a 10mm bit to drill the right size hole. So if you don't already have a 10mm drill you will need to buy one to use this product which I really had to buy.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than others

Great for shank rollers

These inserts are very strong. Inserting into both hard and soft wood with a 3/8" ratchet and hex head provides a truly secure grip. With a hex drive there are no breakaway problems. Now I can save some money by buying stock reels and I don't have to. Worry about the attachment of the flanged roller. great product It would have been nice if the internal threads were closer to the surface, but that's understandable given the hex drive area. Good product.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Can't remember

Survived on a light car 2x4

The 3/8 inch (9.5mm) pilot hole was close enough. I "tapped" the hole with a 3/8 screw to be sure. increasingly when he wanted to sit down. I recommend countersinking/countersinking the hole to allow the wood to rest directly on the roller track/mounting plate and then tightening with channel locks. Otherwise, the shank is the only part that will withstand side loads and thread engagement will not begin until after the hex wrench is removed.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Expensive

may be suitable for some applications

Do not use this for anything where you tighten it. When you loosen the screw, you remove all of this from the tree. In this case I chose a similar product with screw holes all over it. I believe this product works well in situations where you want to adjust how far something protrudes, e.g. B. for aligning table legs.

Pros
  • Fasteners
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for elderly

Handles light loads in a 2x4 wheel

The 3/8" (9.5mm) pilot hole was close enough. Insertion was light to moderate most of the time and increased as it wanted to sit down. I recommend countersinking/countersinking the hole to allow the wood to rest squarely on the roller track/mounting plate and then tightening with channel locks, otherwise the stock is the only part that will withstand side loads and it's just beginning to engage the threads after the hex key has been countersunk.

Pros
  • Band Fasteners
Cons
  • So far so good
