My thoughts and some facts about Aeternity

Hi there. This time we will know what is Aeternity and is it useful or not.

Aeternity is a new platform for decentralized applications (DApps) launched on the Trial Internet in 2017. It also successfully issued tokens of Aeon (AE) tokens in 2017.

The main function that defines Aeternity is to move the smart contract procedure on the blockchain and import it into the personal channel of the contract related agent. The presence of these channels is a lot of stress on the main blockchain. It also helps solve the problem of personal information that holds all the information in the personal chain. Aeternity also has the ability of a decentralized oracle to immutable external data on the Aeternity blockchain.

Aeternity uses a hybrid of Proof of Work and Proof of Stake algorithms. It uses POS as a mining consensus protocol to manage the Aeternity ecosystem based on the percentage of AEs owned by users. Aeternity aims to attract mobile users to the network by making it easy to use new mobile dapps and blockchain features.

This project is focused on improving smart contracts and DApp scalability. Scale smart contracts by moving them off-chain. Aeternity smart contracts run on private state channels between the parties involved in the contract rather than on the blockchain.

Aeternity supports the development of features, smart contracts. Does not support stateful programming. Instead, the contracting parties are responsible for maintaining the state of the program. Then provide and verify the status as part of the contract entry.

This is in stark contrast to Ethereum's claim that it is important for stable programming blockchain applications. This article cannot explain the difference between functional programming and state-based programming. But suffice it to say that state is an important part of creating useful applications. Ethereum is solving a very difficult state fragmentation problem. Once this is resolved, Aeternity's attractiveness as a platform could be significantly reduced.

However, so far, stable separation of obligations and requirements is a major trend in smart contract scaling. Functional programs are easy to extend.

Aeternity smart contracts can be compiled into bytecode that runs in a language called Chalang. Going forward, Aeternity hopes to be as developer-friendly as possible. Therefore, they plan to create a JS library and JSONAPI for web development.
