Ambrosus Serving It Hot

Ambrosus is a blockchain-based ecosystem that was specifically built for the industrial management of sensing devices, supply chains, and smart cities. The project is actually open source and this allows developers the chance to get involved with the project. Ambrosus has the goal to pioneer secure, transparent, data management across industries of the global economy. Ambrosus utilizes the blockchain alongside the internet of things (IoT). The Ambrosus ecosystem provides entrepreneurs, industries, and businesses with a framework to manage and share data in a secure and efficient manner. This project caught my attention not too long ago because of its unique proposal. So it is actually possible to say that Ambrosus is a blockchain-powered IoT network for food and pharmaceutical enterprises, which facilitates a secure connection between sensors, distributed ledgers and databases to optimize supply chain visibility. The project makes use of a decentralized protocol to store and track sensor data about food, chemicals and pharmaceuticals. To sum up their goals one could as well say they plan to set the global standard for decentralized supply chain management and also provide quality assurance in enterprise IoT ecosystems. I will be lying if I said that I wasn’t impressed by the way the project is structured. I was particularly impressed with how they blended the use of the blockchain technology with the project to create an entirely new system. For instance, commercial agreements between manufacturers and their supply chains are encoded as smart contracts on AMB-NET, Ambrosus’ Ethereum-interoperable blockchain. Doing this reduces the issues and challenges that would otherwise pop up. Also being interoperable with other Eth based protocols and systems ensures seamless integration and functionality of Ambrosus dApps. The two industries covered are food and commodities. Among the benefits of the Ambrosus network is the fact that records are imprinted on the blockchain, anti-tampering, secure data storage and the availability of developer tools. Amber (AMB) is a utility token used to access the Ambrosus ecosystem. The AMB token can be gotten on exchanges like Binance, Coinbase, HitBTC, and others. AMB is ERC20 compliant and can be stored on Ethereum supported wallets.

Pros
  • Ambrosus facilitates the monitoring and tracking of data
  • Interoperable structure
  • Secure data transfer and storage
  • AMB is ERC20 compliant
  • The project is basically powered by the blockchain technology
Cons
  • The token has low market value
