Review on Basic Attention Token by Albert De Rieder

Brave is a web browser built with blockchain technology, its native token, the Basic Attention Token (BAT) is used as the money in the ecosystem. The Brave browser automatically blocks advertisements and trackers which are annoying and reducing speed while you surf on other browsers, which saves a lot of bandwidth for you. The browser also pays you (in BAT) for the amount of time you use it (and the BAT token has a real value). The website owners or content creators will pay the ecosystem in BAT in order to target audiences with their contents, which is a fair game for me.



For me, Brave is good for normal surfing, it has built-in ad-blocks that reduces latency for you. However, it still lacks proven track record of securing personal information, e.g. username and password. So be careful when you try to sign in to a web with your accounts, or try to store your username and password in the browser like you did in Safari or Chrome
