Promising product with high upside potential.
It is better to take a longer-term view when investing in CHZ. With the launch of the mainnet only recently, still yet to see the projects full potential. The onboarding of new teams, whether traditional or esports, takes time. The team though is slowly but surely adding new partnerships as they go. There is also a vast amount of opportunity for Chiliz to grow, as they can add just about any team from any sport onto the platform.
Pros
- Platform gives the millions of sports and esports fans direct voting power in their favorite teams.
- Several strong partnerships already in place. The team is starting with various Football teams as its first sports vertical, but are able to add any team from any sport onto the platform.
- Good token use case. Only Chiliz tokens can be used on the platform, and the team is expanding token use case by partnering with companies such as sorare(dot)com.
- Good business model. Allows partnering teams to both engage and monetize their fan base.
Cons
- Although Chiliz doesn’t face any direct competition in the space of fan voting, there are a good amount of indirect competitors, such as Bethereum and Asura Coin, who could adopt similar use cases in the future.
