It is a decentralized digital asset, It is part of an older class of cryptocurrency projects. It cannot be ruined, duplicated or hacked. It can be transmitted via the Digibyte blockchain and can be permanently recorded.

We only know the creator Jared Tate he developed the project in 2014. Speaking of another members working in the team, it is difficult to find much about the staff who support the project. There is no information about the team on the website.
It has 5 advanced mining algorithms that help maintain mining decentralization. It also has the most advanced difficulty stability of any blockchain in the world today. It is the world's longest blockchain with a transparent global ledger that gives its users superior scalability across industries.
It is a custom blockchain with its own Genesis block. However, by comparing other big crypto, we can say that it is bigger, faster, more secure and has lower transaction fees. It is more advanced and developed technology.

DigiByte focuses on speed, security, and scalability. It prides itself with being
“faster, more secure, forward thinking”. With significantly faster block timings
than any other UTXO blockchain to date (15 seconds), DigiByte has encountered
and overcome a number of issues that many other blockchains such as Bitcoin
will not face until the advent of the next century. It is due to this forward thinking
nature that DigiByte adopted the SegWit protocol through a soft-fork consensus
in 2017, being the first major blockchain to do so, well before Litecoin or Bitcoin
adopted the upgrade.
