Ethereum Classic community still seems relentless in there efforts to be the one true ethereum and has recently published a detailed development roadmap on its website. In the short term, it includes such goals as securing page chain scalability, developing IoT and cross-computer protocols, and assisting third-party developers in creating applications at the Ethereum Classic. In the long run, this coin aims to provide security and encryption, interoperability with other block chains and distributed Internet.
The development roadmap contains a specific list of development goals, not specific data. 2018 includes Emerald Wallet for Mobile, Sidechains Launch and Sputnik Optimization. In 2019, Ethereum Classic plans to focus on improving scalability, encrypting EVM, and improving sharding.
Pros
- Ethereum Classic, known in some circles as the True Ethereum, strongly believes in a decentralized, censorship-resistant, license-free blockchain that can not be shut down and has irreversible smart contracts. Which is the real definition of blockchain
Cons
- Unlike Ethereum, which has a very big development team, Ethereum Classic has a smaller group of developers thus impending it's growth
