The Ethereum Classic has been separated from Ethereum in 2016 in both technical and philosophical terms. For Ethereum Classic proponents, Ethereum hard fork and code changes were the result of a hack that should never happen at first. After all, assuming the block chain is immutable, the system must be resilient to this type of attack. For the Ethereum proposer, the transaction was valid and executed. Ethereum Classic is a violation of the fungity and immutability of ethereum, two key proponents of peer-to-peer cash and a smart contract-based system in the Declaration of Independence
Pros
- The Ethereum Classic describes itself as the "first censor resistant" Ethereum. The ETC community did not agree with the Ethereum developer's decision to persuade Ethereum to return funds to investors who had lost money in the infamous DAO hack a few years ago, and then ETH and ETC went in different directions. So the ETC community is against "central planning". Just like Bitcoin Cash (BCH) fans call Bitcoin's Inspector's Brand (BTC).
