Ehereum classic is a blockchain born in 2016 after the bug of DAO that made disappear 50 millions worth of eth. The ethereum community decided to make an hard fork to fix the issue. So the eth community spread in Eth and Etc. The latter sticked its features to the old eth system. Many people consider Etc an attsak to the eth community as bch to btc. I think this is not the same despite there are many similarities but also many differences. I like the project i think its devs team is legit and very active.
