About Mercury

The biggest problem with modern communication platforms is the central operating system. User privacy is vulnerable and behavioral data is often sold to advertisers. The project that emerged to bring a change to this scenario by fixing these basic problems is the Mercury Protocol.
Mercury is an open source communication protocol designed in a blockchain network to increase the security of its data and user privacy at a low cost. It creates monetization strategies for advertisers and companies that do not exploit users' behavioral data.
It works by using tokens to increase user engagement. Its main purpose is to create a much stronger security system than private messaging apps.

MER token is a Global Message Token. The MER token is used as a reward to encourage positive behavior among users. Provides more user participation by providing access to premium services.
Mercury's potential can be measured in terms of the great need for user privacy in today's communication platforms. Although the protocol is partially new, its decentralized social media can significantly contribute to the positive evolution of modern communication in the long run.

Pros
  • Mercury uses the Ethereum blockchain network to store all data in a decentralized system that is public and transparent, but also anonymous. In addition, it also uses the smart contracts feature. In this way, users can protect their privacy and their data can be securely stored in an immutable network.
  • The primary purpose of creating this protocol and implementation is to give users control and ownership of their private data.
Cons
