The Meridian Foundation is a nonprofit organization that will oversee the implementation and development of the proposal, manage salary distribution for social managers (Telegram, Discord, Twitter, etc.), lead Dapp proposals and organizational community voting. In other words, this means that every decision regarding the Meridian Network from our DAO launch will be voted on and decided by the community as a whole ”.
In simpler terms, the Foundation will be Meridian's representative when dealing with potential partners / business deals, but cannot make decisions that will affect the project itself. To do this, the Foundation must communicate the idea / proposal to the public and then vote on whether to implement it.
Other responsibilities of the foundation are to manage social managers and ensure their salaries are paid (from a wallet used solely for this purpose), but also to protect the community treasury.
The community treasury is an address that holds 1,520,000 LOCK (at the time of writing) and its purpose is to fund ideas / suggestions voted and approved by the community. Whenever an idea or proposal is approved by a vote, the Foundation will finance its development / implementation and publish a report detailing all costs incurred for this purpose.DAO is the structure where the community can propose and vote on every aspect of Meridian's future. Aragon DAO will be used in conjunction with the Colony app, which allows bidding and voting without gas fees, as is the case with decentralized DAOs.
