A cryptocurrency focused on content ownership.

It allows content creators to have complete control over their works, while adding transparency that makes it easier for publishers to identify new works. It provides revenue to the creator through smart contract enabled automated licensing. It provides integral evidence of the origin and history of any creative work registered on its blockchain.

What problem does they solve?
The problem is that a lot of content is stolen on the web. Someone can find your video on YouTube, download it, and publish it to another channel. And as an outsider who simply stumbles upon stolen video, they won't be able to tell who actually owns the content. It creates a database where you can prove that a piece content you owns. This is like copying or trademarking your content.

How does it work?
You can view meta data for an image, including existing content. However, this is not enough to prevent theft. Or you can republish someone's blog, but you may not be 100% sure the content it contains. You just have to take someone's word for it. It designed it to simplify the process.

Consequently now that you know how they work, you might be wondering what the poet token is actually used for. This token is primarily a currency of the market for buying and selling digital assets.

Pros
  • It is a unique and groundbreaking blockchain platform.
  • It’s an open source project.
  • They have an obvious use case.
  • Unlike the existing media marketplace, their model is decentralized.
  • It creates a database where you can authenticate that you own a piece of content.
  • Their concept is interesting and lot of content producers who feel protective over what they publish.
Cons
  • My biggest concern is that it largely depends on the adoption. If no one does not use the database, it will certainly not work.
  • Blockchain-based evidence is not legally enforceable in most countries of the world.
