True chain is really a new generation blockchain that solve the problem inherent to public blockchain with a refined approach.
The problems of decentralization and slow transaction per second was solved using an approach that combine hybrid consensus mechanism (PBFT) and FPow.
It uses PBFT to take care of slow transaction while Proof of work mechanism to take care of election and governance.
It provides solutions to many problems that other project may find too many to solve. However doubt has been raised regarding whether they can possibly achieve much with their hybrid mechanism
Pros
- It offers solutions to problems that other blockchain project handle singly
- Promises faster transaction per second
- Decentralization could be better
- Real life problems like automatic insurance claim, solutions in medical care etc are provided
Cons
- It is doubtful that the hybrid consensus mechanism can achieve all they promised
